MGOLD FUEL ADDITIVES
Along-with its Fuels, MGold also manufactures and provides a range of Fuel additives which are
helpful to enhance various properties in Fuels. Following grades of MGold Fuel additives are
available:
1. MGold Fuel Additive - High Calorific (MFA HC)
This Fuel Additive is useful to increase the Calorific yield in the Fuels such as Furnace
Oil and Light Diesel Oil which is fired in Industrial Boilers, Furnaces and Power Plants. The
recommended dosage is 1: 1000
2. MGold Fuel Additive - Anti-knock Agents
A. Diesel Cetane Improver (MFA CI)
This is typically an Anti-knock additive to provide smooth functioning and Ignition of Diesel
Engines. This additive can be suitably used upto a ratio of 1 : 200 depending on the Diesel
quality. It improves Diesel’s cetane number, prevents misfiring, provides better ignition
quality and thus is an effective anti-knock agent.
B. Gasoline/Petrol Octane Improver (MFA OI)
Added to Gasoline (Petrol) to raise its octane value, this additive will enhance the Octane
value, thus helping it’s ignition at the right temperature and pressure. It helps the fuel to
ignite at correct time, reducing the pre-detonation which can be harmful for the Engines. The
recommended dosage is as per the quality of Gasoline/Petrol that is to be treated.
3. MGold Fuel Additive – Fuel Efficiency Improvers
A. Heavy Hydrocarbon Treater (MFA HHT)
Heavy Fuel oils used in Power plants and Bunker oil contain Heavy hydrocarbons which usually
settle at the bottom of the tanks in form of sludge. These heavier hydrocarbons have good
calorific value. With the use of MFA HHT, these heavier Hydrocarbons get uniformly dispersed in
the Fuel oil thus adding to the calorific value and reducing sludge formation and wastage.
B. Diesel Efficiency Enhancer (MFA DEE)
To enhance the Diesel combustion properties and fuel efficiency, this additive can be suitably
used in the ratio of 1 : 10 or 2 : 10. Alongwith improving the combustion, it also enhances the
Lubricity providing for longer life of Diesel Engines, lowers the sludge formation in Diesel
storage tanks, lowers Diesel Engine lining deposits and provides for smoother and a more
efficient functioning of Diesel Engines used in Diesel Generators as well as in Automotives.
Diesel fuel additives offer the benefit of functioning as an antioxidant that helps to minimize
corrosion within the engine as well as provide antiknock properties to reduce the stress on
engine pistons.
Additional Information on MGold Fuel Efficiency Improvers
MFA Fuel Efficiency Improvers are unique additives aimed at treatment of Heavy Fuel oils &
Diesel to solve combustion related problems such as excess soot formation, scaling in heat
transfer surfaces and lower fuel combustion efficiency.
MFA HHT is guaranteed to render better atomization in Heavy Fuel oils used in Power
Plants, Boilers and Generators, thereby increasing its Fuel efficiency as well as calorific
yield. Due to the use of MFA HHT, combustion process is more complete thereby reducing as well
cleansing the residues on the heat transfer surfaces, thereby increasing the amount of heat
transfer and reducing fouling effects.
MFA DEE improves the performance of Diesel Engines & Lubricity thus increasing the life
of Diesel Engines. It also provides additional fuel efficiency and enhances the Fuel economy for
consumers.
The use of MFA Fuel Efficiency Improvers results in better Emission control due to
reduction in particulate emissions as well lower carbon emissions. Due to the more efficient
combustion, lesser soot and lower carbon monoxide is liberated in the exhausts.
Dosage:
MGold Fuel Efficiency Improvers are to be added in the dosage of minimum 10 % to a maximum 20 %
of the volume of Fuel depending on factors such as Fuel Quality and the overall health of the
Fuel system. The recommended initial dosage would be 20% which can be gradually reduced to 10%
as the entire system gets treated with the MGold Fuel additive.
Method of USAGE:
MFA Fuel Efficiency Improvers need to be uniformly dispersed in the Fuel with light stirring
preferably, as it is introduced from the upper surface of the fuel. The material is to be pumped
directly from the barrel packing to the Utility Storage tank or Fuel tank without exposure to
sunlight or atmosphere. The minimum residence of this Fuel additive in the fuel before usage in
the combustion is 3 hours.
Storage and Safety:
MFA additives need to be stored away from heated areas and avoid direct exposure to sunlight and
Boiler or Furnace heat. Personnel handling the product must avoid inhaling or direct contact
with hands or any part of body.
